About Ann Gilbert
417 Escape Artist owner, Ann, always dreamed of running her own business. She wasn’t sure what her business would be, but she knew she wanted it to be fun!
Ann had a blast going to her first escape room. She was drawn to how escape rooms brought people together, so she began tackling different escape room challenges with her friends and family. From the creative themes to the exciting puzzles, Ann found something she loved and something Springfield was missing.
After becoming an expert escape artist herself, Ann decided to open her own escape room business and began looking for a location in late 2015. She came up with the themes, found the perfect furnishings and developed unique challenges for each room. Then, on April 17, 2016, she opened the doors to 417 Escape Artist in Springfield, Missouri.
Sleuths and adventurers have been able to experience the thrill of beating (or almost beating) the clock and Ann’s handcrafted rooms ever since. She continues to serve up thrills and challenges to escapers of all ages.
